Our physics normal major accepted the on-site examination of the second level of teacher training certification by the Ministry of Education

From May 31 to June 10, our Physics (Teacher Training) program received the online on-site examination for the second level of teacher training program certification by the Ministry of Education, and on June 8 and June 10, the university held a self-assessment briefing and an examination feedback meeting respectively through a combination of online and offline forms. All members of the expert team, Shi Genlin, Vice President of Jiangsu Education Evaluation Institute, Yan Xiaohong, President of the university, Li Hongbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, Tian Lixin, Vice President of the university, Chen Hong, Vice President of the university and Li Hong, Vice President of the university attended the meetings. The heads of all relevant functional departments, leaders of relevant colleges, heads of majors, teachers and student representatives attended the meeting.


During the self-assessment briefing of professional certification, Yan Xiaohong expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of the expert group on behalf of the school and introduced the history, characteristics and achievements of the school in recent years in talent training and discipline construction. He introduced the construction of teacher training majors and the development of certification work. He said that the physics (teacher training) program is taking the teacher training program accreditation as an opportunity to continuously improve the continuous improvement mechanism and strive to promote the continuous improvement of education quality, and sincerely welcomed the valuable opinions of experts. Jiangsu University will definitely study and implement the expert group's examination opinions, continuously improve the level of professional construction and talent training quality, and strive to build the physics (teacher training) major into a highland for the cultivation of first-class teacher training talents in our university.




Chen Yuanping, the head of the Physics (Teacher Training) major, gave an additional explanation on the self-assessment of the major. The expert group asked questions and made inquiries on the issues related to the professional certification work.


During the examination, all members of the expert group carried out relevant work through in-depth interviews, skill tests, questionnaires, listening and watching classes, examinations and visits, checking documents and collective comments.


At the feedback meeting, members of the expert group gave feedback on the eight aspects of the examination, such as training objectives, graduation requirements, curriculum and teaching, cooperation and practice, faculty, support conditions, quality assurance, and student development, according to the division of labor.



Wang Lun, leader of the expert group and former president of Anhui Normal University, gave feedback on behalf of the expert group. The expert group believes that Jiangsu University fully implements the Party's education policy and implements the fundamental task of establishing moral education. The university has issued institutional documents on teacher training excellence and teacher education practice, established the Teacher Education Center and the Teacher Education College, and built a teacher training center, which has effectively implemented the reform practice of training teacher excellence in a comprehensive university. The university fully affirmed the characteristics and advantages of the physics (teacher training) program and the remarkable results achieved by the self-assessment and self-construction. Impartial opinions and suggestions were given on the shortcomings in the main and bottom lines of accreditation.


Chen Yuanping made a statement on behalf of the profession. He expressed his heartfelt thanks and high respect for the hard work of the expert team for the long time span of the online examination and the large amount of workload in reviewing the documents and information. He accepted all the problems pointed out by the experts and will organize different levels of teachers and students to study the feedback from the expert group, comprehensively sort out the problems, immediately implement corrective measures, improve various rules and regulations, implement the task of promoting reform, building and strengthening with evaluation, and continuously improve the professional training capacity and quality.


Yan Xiaohong made a statement on behalf of the school. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the expert group for their hard work and careful guidance over the past few days, and expressed his deep admiration for their serious and dedicated work attitude as well as their rigorous and pragmatic work style. He pointed out that the expert group had put forward comprehensive and informative opinions on the construction of the physics (teacher training) program in our university. The opinions are meticulous, profound, objective and pertinent, with strong relevance and guidance, and the school accepts them in their entirety and must study and absorb them and improve them actively. For the construction of teacher training programs, he put forward three suggestions: first, to unify the mindset and implement the corrective comments on accreditation; second, to seize the opportunity to vigorously build first-class teacher training programs; third, to integrate training and strive to explore a new model of excellence in teacher training.


Finally, Shi Genlin spoke of three experiences, one is to fully agree with the feedback of experts; two is to focus on the systematic solution of problems; three is to act effectively and deepen and strengthen the work of teacher training professional certification. It is hoped that the accredited majors can make experts see the accreditation work and the level of professional construction in continuous development at a later stage through continuous self-construction.
